Hey guys,

My Paxton is on the way (that didn't take long). I have a few questions though. What is a "safe" boost level on a stock bottom end? Also, I know all about Roe and UGR, but is there anyone closer to Chattanooga, TN that can do the install and tune? Tony recommended Injected Engineering in Kennesaw as far tuning the car when I was asking about SCT tuners, but that was before I decided to go ahead and get the Paxton. Has anyone used them for S/C install and tuning before. Any thoughts on them? I assume whoever does it will be able to write me a tune in an SCT or use the Paxton computer to set it up. I'm not looking to add an AEM or anything. Thanks guys. Just hoping there is someone closer to me who can handle this CORRECTLY.

You are 724 miles from Woodhouse and Mark Jorgensen. Many of us have had Mark and his Viper techs install our kits. Give him a call. Woodhouse is a very loyal site sponsor and they have installed more than 100 Paxton kits on Vipers. The fact that they are a dealer and maintain a very close relationship with the SRT Engineers doesn't hurt either.

Here are the mods that Mark has done to my car and everything has worked like OEM:

2006 SRTC with Paxton supercharger, competition coupe swing arm oil pan, DC blower tune, cooler thermostat and plugs, MGW/Woodhouse shift mechanism, 2008 transmission, yolk, drive shaft and differential, Racelogic traction control, Corsa catback exhaust, Eibach springs, Moton Sport shocks - corner balanced with track settings. Woodhouse Performance engine and transmission mounts.

If you have any mechanical ability, do it yourself. It is a very complete kit and very good directions. I did it myself 4 years ago and never had any problems.

Dammit! Had to back out on the deal (I hate that). I got a bad phone call today and a big check I was expecting might not be coming for another 6 months. Thanks for the responses. Good info, and it will be put to use in the future, I assure you.

Bob,

Is the 2008+ tranny a direct swap? If so, you could direct swap the new ones with teh revised 5th/6th gears also. Not that I would do that, but if anybody kills a tranny they could upgrade to that. Whats all new in the 2008+ trannys?

It is a more robust piece. The only tradeoff is a bit more NGR. The swap required a new yoke. I am using the Gen III clutch. For more details please contact Mark Jorgensen at Woodhouse.
