The MSD box should arrive at my house tomorrow and I'll try to have it installed ASAP. 70% of the pinging went away with a 45 minute disconnect of the PCM already. (I thought my Viper wouldn't have pinging because similar equipped Vipers with the Roe Supercharger didn't have pinging, but mine wasn't so lucky. I told Sean to ship the Supercharger to me before he had the MSD box to send with the Supercharger.)

The installation went really easy, even with all the help you could see we were getting in my photographs. I think a 1 or 2 person installation would have easily taken the 5 hours that Sean said it would, but it took us longer because everyone wanted to turn a wrench to brag that they helped put a Roe Supercharger on a Viper.

Sean, as expected, has been very helpfull with any question that I've had about all of this. He's living proof of why he has the great reputation that he has.

I'll be posting a full report on how everything works as soon as I get a chance to try it out myself. There's 1-3" of snow predicted tomorrow afternoon and evening, so if my Viper Tech can do the MSD installation tomorrow evening, I won't be driving with anything but a lot of caution. Amazingly, even with the Roe 70 mm throttle bodies on my Roe Supercharger, I find my Viper much easier to drive than before the Supercharger, so as long as the snow isn't so deep that my front fascia becomes a snow plow, I don'r fear driving my Viper in the snow. (Of course I haven't tried it yet.)

About the only special tool that is required is a metric allen wrench for the oil cap on the supercharger. Regular tools did the rest. The fit & finish are perfect. The only part that needed help was the passenger side air intake to the supercharger (there are several photos of the dent), thanks to FedEx dropping the package somewhere between Florida and Ohio. Sean said we could bend it back to round & it took just a few minutes to get that baby round again.

I got the MSD Boost Retard Box and the Equus 3100 Code Reader today. My Viper Tech will put in the MSD box this Friday so I can A-Vipering I'm A-Going again.

It's a low boost- 5 pound - supercharger, so everything is not overly stressed.

A 5 pound low boost of 436 rear wheel horsepower becomes 558 rear wheel horsepower, or 657 flywheel horsepower. These numbers are from using Sean Roe's statement that everyone seems to be getting a 28% increase in rear wheel dyno horsepower.
