Pontiac Solstice interior had a similar interior layout?

Strangely enough... just sharing some rumors since working in the auto design industry, hearing comments that are being made of the Gen V that the interior is similar to the layout of the past Pontiac Solstice... dash vent locations, grab handle, storage compartment between the seats and a comment.... wasn't SRT aware that the cupholders at that location weren't ideal according to consumer feedback?

That was it... again just sharing what I hear... do like the Gen V, quality of materials are on a different scale obviously being more expensive, just comments about the layout, don't take it the wrong way...

Wow agreed the layout is very similar. Not that it bothers me. It's an amazing interior. SRT nailed it. In my opinion if the have give the same leap forward with the power train as they did with the interior the car would have had 840 hp and 800 pound feet of torque, enough said.

Alot of cars have the Layout but happily we can unbiasedly say the Viper interior is the best. The Gen V interior is literally perfect.

Very similar layout albeit no Ferrari style seats and high quality leather as in the new Viper GTS. Unless you are getting the base model Viper, ouch, with cloth seats.....NO cup holder option either for me.

What intrigues me the most is why a Solstice has a grab handle! lol

I saw a Solstice a few weeks ago at a local car show with an LS2 motor stuffed in it. Total sleeper on the outside too. I'll bet he leaves a lot of guys at the light scratching their head...

I would call them LCHDs "Liquid Container Holding Devices." A good place to put a container of liquid while transporting it to a place where you want to drink it. If there needs to be a cupholder that folks want to hold an open container for consumption while driving, I think that the only good place for that would be something that extends/unfolds from the dash. I wouldn't care to see them implement that.

The Solstice interior execution was SO sub-par (the pop-out cupholder was just waiting to snap off or at least never retract again). Let's how your side-by-side pics are as far as the comparison goes.

My wife had a GXP, it had some serious potential. Nothing for bottom end power, however when the boost came on it was really quick. Similar to two stroke power. I think the coupe version was really cool looking, they should have never dropped that car.
