I just got my 94 back from Arrow. Brought car home. Battery Discharge Light is on. I don't know why. The mechanic said he would check it later if it does not go off.

The car is also hesitating from the start through each gear. Mechanic said air is probably in the line and should work out with a few fill ups. Back-Firing as well. Could the battery be causing this?

The battery was disconnected for 2.5 months. I have to go back for the 200 mile oil change and want to address the issues then unless I NEED to now.

One other piece of this. They called me at the end of the re-install and said the Starter Interlock Clutch Switch was bad. I said, it was ok when it went in and now bad? They charged me for it. When looking in the manual under Battery, I find it there. Wondering if this is what is causing the light to come on. Installed out of step? I don't know. Thanks

My car was problem free from the get-go. Take it back.

I have a 99 and it runs like crap right after it looses battery (and programming). It quickly begins to run perfectly in a few days, though, as the computer learns.

Your mechanic is either stupid or he is telling a lie. There is no way that air can get in your fuel system and need time to work it's way out. He probably knows better and he's just putting you off. The light should not be on and if you wait for it to go out what will that mean? It fixed itself? No, take it back tell him to fix everything and caal you when he is done. Leave the top at home so they will have to keep it inside. Then they will want to get it fixed and out of there soon. Don't try to fix it yourself.
