Explaining Viper things to you
And those threads you've read that have confused you have said what on this topic?

And since you asked, I use Mopar factory fluid to do my flushes on the PS system. **** out the reservoir, refill, several turns lock to lock, repeat 3 more times. Gen 2.

Some say redline, some atf, but I guess its ATF. Just wondering if the super blue would do, seeing its a different color, and you know when its flushed. Not pulling any hoses off, doing it Janni style.
Thanks

+1 on what dave said, ive got MS-5931 part#04883077 on my shelf (gen2 though).

I wander if the newer gens take the same stuff or ATF like my 04 dakota?

Although 2003's came with the "older" Mopar Power Steering Fluid(clear color), 2004-2010 Vipers use Mopar ATF+4(red) which is also labeled Power Steering +4 in the pint size bottle. After the cooling module recall (and in some cases, replacement of the P/S pump and steering rack) on most 2003's, many owners and techs now use the same ATF+4 in the 2003's. This suits me for our 2003 given the "extra duty" thst this fluid does running both the power steering and the cooling fans.
