Puncture and PS2's

Well I am now running on PS2's so its goodbye to the runflats and the difference is amazing, less wheel hop car takes potholes better and the ride is much more comfortable.

The rear 19's were almost impossible to buy in the UK so the question is with the pressure monitoring valves has anyone ever had a flat and use the slime and a compressor??

Having had a look at the valves it does not seem easy to fill the tyre :dunno: or can standard valve be used with a reflash of the ECU to stop the low tyre message :eater:

On any performance speed rated tire you loose all the speed rating if it is repaired. That being said you should only use the inflater to get you home. Then you should technically replace the failed tire rather than keep running it. The sensor should be reusable but that all depends.

Thanks but perhaps the question was not worded well, the question is can you get the slime past the valve and into the tire as the sensor diagphram may well be in the way.

Its just we have a 1200 mile trip coming up and if a tire goes down at least I can get to a garage or perhaps even home.

BTW I am assuming the sensor needs replacing after the slime.

I use the following plug kit from NAPA with great success. It does not use any slime but you will need an air compressor. I have put over 10,000 miles on these tires plugs on the street only.

Not sure if this will answer your entire question but as far as using the slime, it works and works well. I used it on another sports car and have over 5k miles.
