New to the site and the Viper community. Just got my 98 GTS a few days ago and took it to the dyno today completely stock. Saw 405.6 hp and 453.2 tq. I am very pleased with these numbers all runs done in upper 70 degree weather with 93 octane. Not sure how this compares with other stock vipers. Some replies would be appriciated.

My 97 GTS numbers wer 432/470 with smooth tubes, K&N's, and straight pipe (nothing else) from the cats back. I wouldn't consider your numbers low....maybe just a tad off for a 98, IMHO. How many pulls did you do? What kind of dyno was it?

My first dyno was with smooth tubes and K&Ns and pulled 413/450. I added hf cats and a cat-back and pulled 422/464. I would say that without all of this stuff, the car would have done around what your's did. How many miles are on your car now?

So judging by temp/dyno differences its right about where it should be. The pulls were done on a mobile dyno trailer.

How much power is actually lost in the drive train? These motors should be 450HP Stock at the crank. That's about an 8%-10% loss to the rear wheels stock.

I heard that 12-15 percent drive line loss. My 97 GTS did 417/456 stock with 72k miles last tuesday.
