Well, we have three Snakes in the top 10 in qualifying, but it looks like a Vette is on the Pole again. They have been left somewhat alone this year with the myriad of changes, restrictors, etc., and it appears they may be getting a bit of a gain over some of the others. Either way, the grid for tommorrows race shows 4 out of 7 of the drivers in the top ten, but it seems the numbers of Vipers is dwindling of late.
Listed below are how our guys fared:
6th Tommy Archer 1:17.165
9th Bob Woodhouse 1:17.488
10th Tim Wiens 1:17.504
13th Mike McCann 1:17.632
20th Al Becera 1:20.366
22nd John Dearing 1:20.884
26th Rich Marziale no time
Rich M. had a motor go, and many of the folks offered one of their spares, but not sure if he will take them up on it. If he doesn't run, this will be the smallest Snake gathering of the year in World Challenge, with only 6 competitors in Sunday's race. The event will be broadcast on August 7th on Speed Channel.
