i just picked the optima 800 batter at summit racing with 800 cold cranking amps is that ok for a viper?

If it fits OK, it should be alright. The stock DC Battery is 730 CCA.
Maybe someone else can chime in on the Optima battery?

I also just ordred an Optima red top 75/35 from AJUSA for $95 and free shipping. Locally I picked up one and the guy said it would fit 78/34 and I told him I needed a 75/35 but he insisted it would fit. NOT
The 75/35 is .200 smaller on the hieght. There has been several posts here on this and the guys that say 75/35 are right.
By the way Chuck the delivery on my battery is supposed to be 4/29 or 4/30. If it isn't in by Friday morning I'll be running to Sears for a temporary battery for your party, just can't miss that now can I.

my 75 35 fits fine. the stock leaked acid after a run at kentucky speedway, so i did the battery maintenance and figured i would just upgrade for piece of mind.

if you have any fit challenges the stock jack can give you a bit of extra room -- do a search, there's more detailed info.
