I just got my viper and found that when I click on the key fob to set the alarm and lock the doors. the alarm sets but the doors don't lock. And then when I click the fob "unlock" no sounds no locks, nothing. but the alarm is off now. I checked the fuses and they are all good. when I pulled fuse No.15 I heard a click that sounded like the doors were going to lock. but they didn't. How and where should I check to fix this problem. Also where is the Alarm control unit located on this year car? Thanks for any information. :D

The doors won't lock. If you have the alarm set, it will go off if somebody tries to open the doors using the inside handle. Hope this helps.

In the Gen 1s they used an existing keyfob remote that, at least in my '94, even had a trunk button on it. Obviously, that does work either.

It is correct that your '94 only sets teeh alarm, the locks are manual. I know...with no windows, what's the point? It seems that there is (or was) some federal law that requires door locks on vehicles.

It's pretty easy to put the auto-openers in,,, I did it in one
mornin' :2tu: You don't want the auto-locks hooked up with the poppers, the auto-opener takes the place of the auto-lock function. Use the key fob to open the doors!!!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

You don't have to buy an alarm, it still works!!!!!
The lock button on your trans. arms the alarm, the unlock button opens the drivers door, the trunk button opens the pass. door, you have to open the drivers door with the fob to disarm the alarm. The full illus. directions are in the illus. upgrades section of the forum. It works really well.
Any questions, pm me. :2tu:
