Question to Doug leven and whoever superchargers the Viper

I wanted to ask Doug Leven or SVSi, or anyone else that has a superchager system about how much street gas horsepower and torque his supercharger or turbo systems would produce on a Viper. I am interested about putting one on if it is streetable and performs without and erratic problems. I also wanted to know do you need to install intercoolers. If there is not an intercooler then I am assuming you cannot run more than 8psi of boost.

My last DLM car was over 10lbs of boost (but I did have extra injectors), totally streetable. Sold it because I wanted a Gen II w/ S/C. This care will be way over 8 lbs of boost (will have extra inj. also)..

Octane wouldn't be the only factor that corresponds with boost. Ultimately, we take into account the CR, injector sizing, boost level, head gaskets, blower efficiency, IC unit, current mods, timing etc. We run all different types of systems depending on the vehicle's status. A dedicated race fuel injection system will last for months and allow for higher horsepower demands while daily street driving with a higher CR and lower octane fuel. Approximately 750 - 800 BHP (once again that number could go higher or lower depending on other viable factors). Your about right with 8 lbs of boost before detonation is inevitable on a "stock" compression car with aggressive timing advance.

Right now we're updating some of our SC cars with a very efficient intercooler that should greatly improve our expectations and improve to a broader range of horsepower levels.
