quick ?? Thumping noise !

had to slide about 20 ft..on Friday nite to avoid hitting a deer,,,after that the car has a thumping noise...It almost feels like a flat tire...It almost goes away at higher speeds.. My tires are new on rear (Pilot sports)..Whats wrong? Flat spots? John 2000RT

Yup you flat spotted them, again probably the fronts. Take the tire off and run you finger along the center high point and you will feel the flat spot, maybe even see it if it's bad enough. The best remedy if you can find a place that does it is have them shaved, the burnout method does work in a pinch though.

Check your tires for sticky cats.

 

[Hoosier Daddy]

The Cone's have aftermarket rims on that are wider and 315's on the front. I would not recommend this with the stock sized front tire width.
