On the dyno!!!!
We had a dyno day Saturday so on one of my runs I decided to try for top speed. I got up to 5800 rpms in 5th gear before shutting it down. The dyno registered a little over 195 mph while my speedometer registered about 192 mph. I probably could have reached 200 if I would have pushed it to red line. Does anyone know how this would translate to actual speed on the road?
There was a 97 GTS which was bone stock including stock tubes and filters which easily reached 200 mph on the dyno and produced around 422 rwhp and 480 rw torque. It had about 10,000 miles on it (as does mine - see my mods below). We both have the stock 3.07 rear gears. This guy has one strong engine!!
