Trying to avoid a wreckless driver I ran over a metal object over the weekend.
Needless to say the new 345/30 ZR 19 is on its way. There seems to be a 'V'
shaped extension that I assume is the support for jacking up the car. Is there a special piece that Viper venders sell to help make jacking up the car easier or shoulg I just BE VERY CAREFUL in jacking the car up with my own jack.

Thanks, chris

Just make sure that the V is "deeper" than the cup on your jack, so the cup doesnt run up into your side sills. If it isnt, find something suitable to put into the cup, and then lift the corner of the car. Torque wheel lugs to 90-100 ft/lbs when finished.

Be VERY careful of the pressure sensor behind the valve stem when removing the tire from the rim.

I've heard of using cut timber or a block of wood to soften the weight exchange when lifting the car. Opinions?

It better be mighty hard wood and be situated so that the grain is compressed (runs horizontally). I have two floor jacks that I use and one of them has a cup that is too deep for the Viper jack V-post. I considered the wood approach as well, but then opted for the right fix, which works perfectly on my jack cup:
