I did a search but for some reason couldn't come up with anything. I assume this has been discussed before so I found that weird I couldn't find what I'm looking for. Well to the point, can someone tell me what readings they are getting MPH at what RPM reading in a certain gear either for stock gearing or with a 3.55 rear end in it? I believe I have a stock gear in my car but for some reason I thought the cars (stock) ran at a lower RPM at a set speed. I didn't take any readings but if someone can either tell me what they are seeing (RPM vs speedo) and in what gear I can check mine. This can be either for a stock or 3.55 rear end and I can compare. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide. Also if there was a thread about this with readings that I didn't come across maybe you can post a link to it.

I have 355's in a 05. I'm not in 1st very long probably only about 45 or 50. 70mph in 5th gear is about 2100rpm. 70mph in 6th is about 1800rpm.

Put a mark on your driveshaft and then spin your tire 1 full revolution and count how many times your ds spins. If it spins 3 1/2 times you have 3.55's. If it spins just a tad over 3 times it is a 3.08. This is the best way to tell what rear you have. If you go by gear/mph then tire size also comes into play. I hope this helps.

3.55 gears in my '99 GTS. At 40 MPH in second gear, it's turning 3500 RPM. At 40 MPH in third gear it's turning 2500 RPM. Hope that helps.
