Read in a previous post that by changing SRT to 3.55s, no correction to speedo is necessary. Someone stated that speed sensor and computer will compensate speedo. Can someone explain how this is possible? Speed sensor detects pulses of a transmission gear and should be correlated to a fixed value (ie. 3.07s). How would computer know you switched gearing to 3.55s or 4.10s for that matter?

I believe the speed signal is coming from the ABS system and not the transmission. Ah technology!

The speedo does in fact run through the ABS system. So you can put in whatever gear you like and it won't effect the speedo. Now if you change tires thats is a different story. The ABS is calibrated to the rev per mile of the OEM tire.To give a accurate speedo reading.
