I searched the archives and could not find any fix. Does anybody know of what glue/adhesive I should use to fix it? I couldn't find any 3M product. Is rear-view mirror glue good enough? Thanks.

That happened to mine 2 years ago, I used one of those super adhesives from the auto part store, with the two plunger tubes. One is the activator the other is the glue. Don't remember the name, but just ask for the strongest one they have. I roughed the surfaces of the old adhesive (couldn't get the old adhesive off without braking the glass) and the metal bracket with sandpaper, applied the adhesive and left the hatch up for 24 hours. It has held so far, 2 years, should have never broken in the first place.

Better to go to a store specialized in Windows installation.
They will glue it back with the most appropriate product in 10 min.

Same happened here years ago but my car was under warranty and had it repaired. I walked into my garage one morning to start my car and it wouldn't crank. Never had a problem before starting. So I left the car on charge till the evening, go to find out it broke and the hatch lifted and left the light on killing my battery

Cheers

I think your question was a little tougher than rear view mirror adhesive. Check your post.

BTW, what's the meaning of your "STOLEN" signature?
