Rebuilding my Viper

I recently bought a wrecked 2000 Viper R/T.

It's my first Viper and I'm in the process of rebuilding it and I've got some questions.

Is there a complete body kit available anywhere?(other the the $14.5K Hennessey one). If so, where and how much?

I know that Autoform makes a front facia, wings and such. But it looks like I'm going to need a new hood, facia, driver's side sill and door, and driver's side rear 1/4 panel, so it seems like a full body kit would do the trick.

Will the headlight assemblies from a '92-'95 R/T work in my '00 model?

What about a 3-row radiator from a '98 GTS?

Any help/tips/connections would be appreciated.

Call around! Check with Autoform, JonB, and others for used parts. I received a postcard a week or so ago from Don Scharf Auto. inc. They specialize in Used Viper parts and wrecked Vipers. I don't know much about them except I have seen them with many Vipers through AutoSource.
It looks as though they have alot of cars and parts.
website is www.viperwrecks.com
Email is [email protected] and #8003384002
Have fun with putting together your Viper! I hope to do that as a project 5+ years down the road!
Good luck!

Dean,

If you are patient and shop around you should be able find the parts you are looking for at reasonable prices.

Jon at Parts Rack is a great source of parts/knowledge and the major tuners also have lots of take-off parts. Also check the Classifieds on this site and Ebay.

I have a set of headlight assemblies for sale if you are interested. Let me know.

Good luck,

Anthony

Wilddude,

Nope. It's another car. I didn't pay that much (so far).;)

-Dean.

P.S.

I E-Mailed viperwrecks and some of their parts prices were average, and some were much higher than I've seen elsewhere.

The higher parts prices are understandable with so few Vipers being out there, and with the factory parts be much more expensive still, but I'm willing to shop around to save $500 here and $1000 there.

I just have to have patience, and keep my eyes out for bargains.

I also got a detailed e-mail response from Eric at Autoform.
They have MANY options for hoods, facias, side sills, and even doors, so I'll be checking back with him too.
