Well I took my 97 gts in early tuesday morning to get the recall work done .My hats off to Lithia dodge here in Pocatello they did a great job, there viper tech Lance was very good and fully understands that us car guys are very picky. I drove the car into the bay they put the lift under the viper raised it up and did the front gussets and the back brace .the frame was not cracked .They called me at 530 that evening and I then drove the viper out of there bay and went home. point being nobody touched the car except lance, no joy rides no dents chips cracked hoods

Lance went over what he did while it was on the lift wormanship looked good the welds all looked good and neat all metal was primered then painted gussets looked good I'm very happy and glad that it is done:
Oh yeah and I did'nt forget to tip the Viper tech

Have you noticed any difference the way the car rides now???

After I picked mine up ( and they did a fine job ) I have now
noticed that the car rides firmer.... I can feel the rear end
when I punch the car from a stop it sorta jumps up and then
slams down on the ground and takes off better than it did
before... I also feel the bumpy roads more though too...

ruckdr This is only a guess but I would think it has to do with the torque factor and the way the flex of the frame is twisted thats why they did'nt put it on the other side to.might not of made any difference maybe the viper wizard can answer this

A viper tech mentioned that to me also...It might be over kill from DC's prospective, but if a bracket for the pass side rear was made, I would want to put it on too...

Dixter, Viper Fever,
With the left side of the rear end supported by the new bracket, mine has been done also, and the "better take off", why not put a bracket on the right side of the rear end as well to help stabilize the rear end even more??

Tomer,
I agree, maybe over kill as far as Dodge is concerned, but if it were available, I would like it.
Yes, a torque factor, but would not hurt anything, except add a couple pounds of weight.
