has anyone successfully replaced the differential mount bushings? I have a new set and would like to install them in my diff cover before reinstalling it on the car.

here's a pic of the a new on and the old one installed. the contact is metal to metal (metal sleeve around the outside of the rubber bushing)

I have never done one but I have a new cover and the bushing looks very similar to the lower control arm bushing of the A, B & E body Cudas - Super Bee etc. I've pressed several of those out but my problem was I not able to get the outer metal sleeve to always come out with the bushing. So I ended up using a air chisel to get the sleeve out. I don't think I'd want to do that to a aluminum cover. It's a PIA to do. Take it up to someone and pay 30 or 40 bucks to have it done. Good luck!

Watch your bolt and bushing tolerances. Any movement will cause problems. There is a guy who posts here, that had some extensive experience with undersized bolts, or bushings. I think it might have been "JackB". Do a search for bushings or bushing bolts.

not yet, haven't found a good way to attack it. The problem is it can only slide out one direction because there is a metal flange on one side of the metal sleeve. This covers a significant portion of the surface of the aluminum truss that you would use to press against (I'll snap another picture).

I'm starting to think I won't replace them because the originals aren't damaged, I just thought it would be a good idea to change them while everything is apart.
