I've searched through this site and can't find an answer to this question. Do the resonators use horsepower ?? I'm thinking I'm going to go with the Roe oval cats, and No muffler with an H-pipe. I'm really tossed on the resonators. How much louder is it without the resonators in place ?? Any bad drone sounds ??
What are your thoughts on this set up ??

I can't help you with the actual question but I had a recent experience with drone. A buddy of mine bought a C4 Vette last weekend. He has a Flowmaster system on it and it drones so bad inside during normal driving that I can hardly stand it. I have a C4 just like his with a stock exhaust and mine, of course, sounds very civilized. Just to let you know that I'm not a wimp, my 94 Viper has Balenger 3" cat back and sounds like world war 2, I like it, it has almost no drone, it's just loud.
The reason I'm bringing this up is this. I've read posts about drone from time to time but I had no idea how bad it could be. Now that I've experienced it I would warn anyone to avoid it at all cost on a street car. It can ruin your driving experience.
