Reverse Lights Not Coming on (2006 coupe)

I couldn't find a specific thread related to this so tossing it out for some assistance...

My reverse lights are not coming on in my 2006. I changed out the reverse switch/sensor and looked at the fuse, but neither of those things helped. Any suggestions from those that have run into this issue in the past? Everything else seems to be working perfectly fine.

You need a voltage meter or at least a test light.

My guess would be the reverse light switch on the side of the transmission.

Change the fuse first, even if it looks good. Never know, could still be bad.

Unplug the switch on the trans, with the ignition on and in reverse (not running), 12v should be present on one of contacts in the connector. If there is, short the 2 contacts with a piece of wire and check the backup lights.

I actually have the same issue on my 2006 coupe, reverse lights don’t illuminate. It just never bothered me enough to diagnose it, although I would like to fix it some day when I have the time… this might sound silly but did you try testing or replacing the light bulbs themselves??

Cheap fix would be to buy ones of these
