If the dealer did the damage it will be tough to have them take care of it, since it happened 2 months ago. It's worth a try...
Also, before you buy a new rim, call Wheels America (www.fixrim.com), they maybe able to fix your bent rim. Good luck

Sounds pretty unsafe. Wheel can't be balanced and in addition you can possibly lose the bead if it's bent bad enough. Have it fixed. Approximately $100.00 at a wheel shop versus $1000.00+ for a new one.

Got some good news. I had a rim repaired on my 97gts but rim was not bent I had a 1 1/2 inch section missing from my rear rim lip, sent the rim to Wheel Collision Center 1-800-292-7467 ask for Daryl. Just got the rim back today and I could not be more happy after comparing both rims I can't tell the diffrence and it only ran me $140.00 can't be that to the price of a new rim.

--When 'that dealer' takes a car in, they run their finger around each wheel. They do a complete walkaround. They keep a log sheet. They have 12 car covers, and rope-off Vipers when not in service. They keep these records so that there are no belated disputes.

Any 'scratch' deep enough to bend the wheel would be noticable instantly. I suspect a pothole got you sometime in your wheel's life, and not a scratch.

The wheel can likely be 100% safe for $120-$150. I would seek a pro-installer...there are 2 in Portland OR area that help the VCA. Are you a VCA member? Attend a meeting and learn the scoop!

Also.....an excellent take-off wheel is readily available to you or the dealer for way under $500. [A certain honest and passionate Viper Guy who sells Viper parts, new and used. You can pick it up at PIR and go for a lap or two.]

I once had a dealer put 22 miles on my Snake to diagnose a starting problem!
