I've always used Valentine. I can't tell you if the V1 is really all that better than any of the others but I do like the directional arrows. I own two units and I've had one of the units for over 12 years and I have no complaints. With that said, seems to be a challenge to get a solid review of detectors that are based on objective facts.

Read reviews about them on any reputable radar review site. They are 100% JUNK and don't work worth a damn.
Stick with the tried and true ****** brands or the V1.

I tried Rocky before I became a V1 loyalist and I was not
impressed in the least by it. Keep in mind this was 10+ years
ago now.

I havent used a detector since 08, but I still have my V1
packed snuggly away for if I ever decide to use it again.

Rocky Mountain Radar is complete junk. It's the worst performing brand on the market, and all of their claims about radar jamming and paying for tickets are total b.s.

They do Jam radar. They throw out signals to confuse the Police radar. I Run Rocky mountain simply because I haven't bought anything else lately lol... I will tell you that when I cruise with my buddy.. My Rocky mountain makes his go NUTTS because of the signals its throwing out.

I have the V-1 detector, And the RMR jammer under it.
The jammer is wired to a toggle switch so I can turn it off after slowing the car down so the cop can get a lock on me.
(not supposed to have any kind of jammer in Colorado)
RMR says the 'punch through' is about 150 feet with this unit, and it seems to have worked for me.

Funny that yours works while every unit ever tested by experts has failed to do so. Can you provide any proof of this?

RMR is junk and does not work. Do some research on sites like www.radardetectorforum.org .

I picked up a new ****** Max and it seems to be fairly good. I like the modern screen and it has GPS built in with photo cam alerts.

They throw out signals to confuse the Police radar.

If they're "throwing out signals" on the frequencies of police radar,
not only are they illegal, but the fines from the FCC would include
jail time for owning one... let alone using one. Its a Federal
Offense to possess a radar jammer of any kind in the US.

Also, if your radar detector is bleeding signals high enough that
other detectors can detect them, you might as well paint a "I
want a ticket!" on your windshield as you drive by the cops.
