Does anyone have a picture of one mounted in their car. I was wondering how much room it takes up mounted to pass. seat. I have a sub box in footwell & I don't have much room left.

Thanks
Andy

I have one, but no pictures, with the floor mat over it, most passengers don't even know it is there. When I race I remove the mat for quick access. Sub box, is that a subwoofer? Where on the floor board do you have that?

I have one, I can get you pictures if you like. I keep the mat under mine, not over. With the seat back all the way, it does stick out a lot, but with it edged up, it looks very good. Perfect for putting runs in ladies stockings getting in and out.

Great, here is where the subwoofer is.

Good thing my wife is only 5'4".
I just did not want something that sticks out too much.

I have one as well....I do not attach it so I can store things under my front seat. Never 1 complaint about it ..... JUST the persistent " can you slow it down".

Man, that's going to be a little tight with that sub in there. Probably is already. You should think about relocating the extinguisher to your side. I'll try to get you a pic later on when I get home.

Is it possible to modify the bracket that attaches to the seat so that the extinguisher fits up closer to the seat? I've been looking at that unit, online anyway, and have been wondering about that. In that last pic especially (Detlef) it just looks like it should fit more snuggly up under the seat. I'm sure a tighter fit would limit access somewhat but in reality, I truly hope to never use it.

The seat is all the way back in that last picture. This setup still allows forward seat travel. I am sure someone mechanically inclined could fabricate a bracket that attaches to the seat cushion frame (upper piece) versus the fixed seat frame that attaches to the car. This way the extinguisher would always be flush with the bottom seat cushion and continue to allow for seat travel.

If I remember right, Sean used to sell two brackets. One located the extinguisher closer to the seat but interfered with 5 point harnesses. The other located it more forward to allow harness use. I think he decided to drop the former model so that all could use harnesses. You might check to see if he has or can make up some of the older models.

Good pictures & clean car! Since my seat never goes forward maybe I could make the bracket a little shorter by cutting it & drilling holes a little closer to the extinguisher..

Thanks
