I'd call Sean Roe to be sure but I heard of a few people doing 6.5, never heard of 8 tho. That would be sweet if you could tho.

I think Macedo did an 8lb pulley on a creampuff (with water/****) and ended up going back down to a 6.5lb pulley to keep it safe. Give Larry a call at 407-246-6511.

not sure. dont have a boost gauge. just got off the phone with dave at ROE Racing and he said 6.5 would be the safest and not to do 8lbs even though guys are running them. with 6.5 boost it will make about 30rwhp not incl water/**** rwhp. that sounds good for a $119 pulley.

Dimitrios,
I got a ride in a gentleman's car at Tator's with a cream puff running 7psi with W/M. I have to say that the car felt very strong. It was way stronger than my un-tuned 8psi car (running the 9D VEC2 card). My seat of the pants dyno would say he was putting out 620-630 wheel.

ON A CREAMPUFF 8lbs. yeah i was told by roe its not safe. i could be done but it would be a matter of time the pistons went. 6.5 much safer just like a 5lb safe on a stock gen II motor. it would be good for 30HP which is fine for now i guess and whatever HP the water/**** can give me with the right tune.

He was only running 7psi. I am running 8... For now, as it is very tempting to order the 10psi pulley and idler pulley. Must... resist... temptation...

I just upped mine from a 5lb. to a 6.5lb. and have not had any problems. Sean told me that he felt the 6.5lb. would be safe when paired with the water/**** injection.

Do the water/**** even if you don't do the pulley. Runs big time cooler, safer tune, and more advance if you want it.

I ordered the 6.5 to go with my Roe. Now if Sean would just start shipping SC's.... :(

Schulmann, your post on your log sheets showing the boost creep has me wondering if that is normal and if so whether it would still be in the safe zone with the 6.5 pulley.

*****, Did you take it to the dyno? What increases did you see after tuning the water/**** and added the 6.5 pulley? This is exactly what I am considering doing but wanted to here from some real world applications first.

Thanks, Rich

I went from 559 rwhp and 580 rwtq to my current numbers of 591rwhp and 610 rwtq. Sean told me that decreasing my spark plug gap would probably get me to 600 RWHP. Based on the fact that it was almost 10:00PM and I had a 2 hour drive home, I elected to wait and do it when I got home. I have not dynoed it since changing the gap. I am very pleased with the whole setup. Sean was also able to move my torque curve considerably lower in my RPM range. I had been hitting about 560rwtq at around 3500 RPM and after the tune, I was at about 600rwtq at 2850RPM's. The difference is night and day. I think you will be pleased with the 6.5 & water/****.

I put a 7 # pulley with the water/****, only drove it for a day like that and then went out of town. I felt a significant difference, car revs much faster. Larry is putting a 6.5 pulley on it now, same thing says it will be safer, especially with summer coming. I will be running the car at the Doug Foley drag school we are doing in two weekends here in Florida. I'll be able to post some times then. GO FOR IT!!!!
