Roe Supercharger and 345\'s

Im getting my 3:55 rear tommorrow. will my snake still be a good canidate for the upcoming roe supercharger or should i avoid this now with 3:55? also, much talk about 345 tires lately, what brands recommended and would this be a better setup with the 3:55 rear? more contact right?

I wouldn't recommend 3:55 gears with a S/C'er,It will render 1st almost useless.

Depends on what you want out of your car.

I personally would do it. Especially if it is the whole chunk you are getting. If you are swapping ring and pinion, you need to give it more thought.

But look at it this way. On the highway, in most cases, you will pull harder with that gear than an identical car with the 3.07. Also, the taller tires will help to cut into that ratio. Sounds like a perfect setup to me.

Go for the SC for sure!

Good luck!

I asked Sean about this a couple of weeks ago, and he said his test car with 3.07's was at the limit of traction at WOT in 2nd gear. His opinion was that 3.55's might make for some fun 3rd gear and up romps from a roll, but would cause significant traction problems at WOT in 1st & 2nd.
