Royal Purple

anyone who uses RP notice a difference between say a 10w30 as opposed to the racing version "royal 21"? i currently use royal purple 10w30 or mobil 1 and im considering trying royal 21 since i have a good deal on a couple cases. any input

I frankly thought the 10w-30w was pretty good stuff, but I was very disappointed with the 30w racing version. I found myself using alot of oil at Road
America, and subsequently switched back to Mobil 1 the next year with about 1/2 the usage - and I was going faster. I think they have a good product,
but I am not convinced there is an advantage going to their pure race blend. Just personal experience, and some guys swear by it for drag racing, but
comment that it seems to break down faster on road courses.

I used to use their multi-viscosity 10w30 oil. I have recently switched to the racing 41. The car always seemed to run a tad (and I do mean a tad, as in not alot) bit cooler with RP, but I have not noticed any significant difference between the two. The racing 21 is a 5w30 and racing 41 is a 10w40.
