RT/10 FasRack - GTS Style Gas Cap anyone??

Hey Guys. I was flipping through some old Viper Quarterly magazines and stumbled onto a company called FasRack that sold a GTS Style Gas Cap. I have never seen one on any of the aftermarket viper websites. There was a website in the ad which is no longer there.... Http://www.goldendawn.com/autox/ I saw this specifically on page 55 of the summer 1997 Viper quarterly...does anyone know if these exist anywhere to be purchased??? i really want one....Thanks.

I definitely want that Jon, please don't sell it to anyone else, I sent you an email last night on it as well, curious.....Why do you call it a "viper wart"? Do you feel it does not look nice? What is your experience with them, i have only seen it in a small photo, and I though it looked great....What do you think?

I think it is called a wart, because it sticks up above "plane" of the skin of the viper. I think if it was more flush, it wouldnt have derived such a name.

I have had one on my car for about 6 years now, almost since new in 99. Only people that dont like it for some reason are GTS owners. The reason I put it on was because every other person was asking me why my viper didnt have the gas cap. When I first put it on all I did was ask people if they liked it on the car.

Only thing that could be done to make it look even better is to have some fiberglass work done to have it sunk into the body work a bit.

uh...personal choice, but it does seem to interupt (not add to) the body lines of the RT. Just my 2 cents.

I don't care for them on the RT/10 but if it is one's preference, they are available on the "Bay of Pigs."

I have only seen the one small pic and it is hard to tell....I just really wanted something more....I would really love to see more pics from different angles to get a better picture...

I just took a look at my rt and it seems that you would have to drill the four holes to mount it... I wouldn't want to do that, but I do like the look of it..

Any more pics or anyone who has done it want to say there 2 cents

The FasRack ad from back in the day said "no drilling/modification required"...maybe the EBAY one is totally different...it does specifically say for a Mustang...

Adam had one on his black RT that was totaled a couple of months back. I found a picture of his "ex" car but didn't want to post it out of respect because the picture is after the accident but, it shows the cap.

WELL PARTS RACK'S SAYING "IF IT FITS ON A VIPER..." COULD NOT BE ANYMORE TRUE. This part has not been manufactured for years. Jon has (had) the last one in existence...THANKS SO MUCH JON FOR TAKING CARE OF ME ON THIS. So the saying stands......if it fits on a Viper...call Jon B. at Parts rack! HOWEVER!: James, thanks for the kind words in the face of my lousy marketing.....Im glad to send you our last unit...we bought out all of their leftovers when he retired a few years back....and we are now OUT of these.

BTW if by ADAM, you are talking about AB, then you must be confused, as Adam had a GTS, not an RT/10, so his was an original.
