Thanks to all that have participated in this project thus far. We have had over 200 calendars ordered to date, with MANY more to go! If you have already placed your order with me, you should have received a confirmation e-mail with payment information. If not, PLEASE drop me an e-mail with your order once more. There were a few "early" orders that were ignored due to the fact that not even half of the pictures had been posted to the Viper Calendar Project website. Speaking of which, go take another look if you haven't placed your order yet or if you wish to order additional calendars. You will see that I added another 11 pictures tonight, as well as "updated" the first 30 thumb shots. The update was due to a different VCA logo. Here is what a sample looks like:

You must be registered for see images

(Note: AOL has been screwy lately - if the image doesn't show up then right click it and click "show picture")

There will be additional pictures added and you are welcome to send me more. Jon McGuire has given me his "secret formula" for doing the basic graphics, so I can get your picture in the proper format for your calendar. Now, as I have a new job (a real one), I may not be able to get to it right away. Please have patience. This is a completely nonprofit project from start to finish. Nobody made a penny on this deal besides the calendar company. Heck, Jon and I both have expenses from burning the CD's and sending them out FedEx to the calendar company. I promise I will get to your pictures as quickly as possible.

Thanks again for your support and watch for the finished products to start mailing out next week!

That is a really cool picture (referring to the sample). Yours with all the little die-cast ones.
Amazing you were able to find that many different scale coupes with black / white stripes.

Also thanks for making this project a reality. Am waiting on a couple friends to make their selection of cars then I will order a few.

Thanks, Ed

Viper in pic "lucky # 7" wasn't so lucky when involved in a +100 mph crash recently!!

How can I get those little colored Viper icons that follow the cursor around on the screen, on the calendar site, I loves 'em? (Would help keep me amused for hours when I'm not occupied with project Rebuild, which is taking most of my time!).

On completion of rebuild, I looking forwards to taking a pic like Chris's Y2K 'all sizes' photo with all my various blue / white models. Fab photo and idea.

As to the stats, I have made a note of every single calendar ordered, but have not had the time to add them all up yet (we are talking about sorting through over 2400 numbers). I will try to do that this weekend, if not before. Being in telecom, I need to spend some time selling my belongings on eBay as a priority.

I can tell you that the one photo that has appeared in almost EVERY order is Lucky #7. No surprise there. If you want to see which one this is, go to the Viper Calendar Project page and you will find it. I also posted two more photos to the gallery last night (LOVE #99) and we are now officially at 100 "public" pictures! That doesn't include the 10-15 "private" photos which are going into certain calendars. Cool stuff!

Ed - The scale models in my photo are a combination of production and customs. They are, from left to right: 1:64 - Hot Wheels; 1:43 - Eagle Racing; 1:32 - Speedy Power (fun and cheap); 1:24 - Brookfield (incredible detailing, repainted to match my car); 1:18 - Maisto, also complete custom paint job to match my car - right down to the license plate. I also have a 1:79 scale en route. That should pretty much cover it!

Thanks for your continued interest in the calendars!

UPDATE: Calendars started shipping out from Seattle last week and will continue to ship as they are finished and payment is received. Now, I did not order a calendar for myself, so PLEASE let me know what you think of the finished product. If it is crappy, send me an e-mail. If it is good, post it here!

The printer tells me that they look great and I am hoping they will please the very tough Viper crowd. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

A couple things:

First off the cursor is NOT Comet Cursor (although I installed the Viper version on the pc at home and then removed all of the program itself besides the icon). The cursor trail you are looking at is actually made up with photos I shot of Kansas City Vipers. It is DHTML scripting and is only available on the web page. You can find all of those scripts (including the one that Jerry is using for the California site) at www.dynamicdrive.com for free. I don't know that you could use it on a desktop...

Jerry - Yep, got the ViperPit photo ordered for your calendar.
Should be there pretty quick!

As to stats, my cable modem service was dead last night so I was able to go audit about half of the orders placed so far (note: ALL orders are submitted, this was simply an audit). I am trying to determine the most "popular" photos by number of requests. Nadine's burnout picture is the overall leader by a wide margin. I will continue to do a count and let you know the rest of the list. Just about every single photo has gotten a request from somebody besides the owner. There is only ONE photo I have come across so far that has no orders, and I am completely shocked. It is the best photo of them all in my opinion, and no, it's not one of mine. Any guesses as to which one it is?

I will update you on the stats and look forward to hearing about the calendars as they arrive.

Are you kidding me? That was the #2 requested photo! After all, how many times can you get Neil Young sitting on the General Motors Viptec concept truck?

Nope, #75 has gotten a few votes so far (and thank you, as I shot that of my friend Kory on the way to the Kansas Speedway).

The picture that I haven't tallied any votes for (but I am not done yet) is..............very artistic (and no, not yours either)

Hey Jon!! Thanks for liking the granite etching of my viper...it looks even more incredible in real life..the artist (Stuart Shulman) is amazingly talented!! He can carve ANYTHING into granite or marble!! He can copy or do his own original work!!
And to Chris....I didn't know #75 was yours!! It's wonderful......I'm sorry I didn't pick it!! I think (maybe) I have to go back AGAIN and choose (yet) another calendar!!!
THANKS AGAIN GUYS FOR A FABULOUS ENDEAVOUR!!
