Ok, here is a serious poser question. As anyone taken the sun visors off their RT/10? Pretty lame question I know, but I am curious. Personally, I will almost never drive the car with the top on and therefore they will be sticking up most of the time. Given the somewhat low profile the front windshield has anyway, I can't imagine using them much because it would further restrict vision. The ones on the 01 appear to be covered in some sort of felt like material that would seem to become rather weathered from bugs and such over time. I experimented with them up and down and there is a little more wind with them down (off). No big deal, but more. Anyone taken them off? Opinions on appearance with them off?

Secondly, if there is demand for this, who might be interested in a mod kit? I could package a kit for this mod and claim a 5 hp increase and sell the whole thing for $299.00. Any buyers out there?

Obviously, joking on the second part. I am however seriously interested in opinions/experiences on the first. Thanks.

I took the visors off my GTS and don't miss them a bit. If you can handle the wind, 86 'em.

Bob, with the top off these are a pain. I tried using them but it does not work. When they are down you see NOTHING. VERY dangerous. I took mine off and put them back on in the winter. Every year they come off because they are more of a pain than good. Just take a pair of shades with you when you take the car out and you are fine.

I thought about taking mine off also but after driving her for a couple of weeks changed my mind. I do find a great difference in wind, maybe because I'm tall or maybe because I never drive with the back glass in. I also found them very needed in the late afternoon when the sun was just over the top of the windshield-without them I was blind.

Sorry I can't help with removal.

Yes, one of the first things I did. I like the look better and don't think I have ever driven the car with the top on.

There is a noticeable wind difference. It isn't major. I am balding rather agressively, so I feel/notice everthing going on top of my lid.

Seriously, I could drive with my ball cap on when I had the sun visor attached to the car. Now I can't.

Either way, no visors for me.

I keep mine on. I've noticed that depending on how fast you're going and the wind direction (if gusty) I can adjust them up higher or lower and the wind is less. I did however take the stupid looking warning label off of them. It looks alot better. Tried different methods at first to take the stickers off..finally found that intense scratching with your thumb nail is the only way. It takes about 15 minutes on each. It's a pain!! :p
