After selling the RT managed to pick up 00 GTS a few days later
with a bit of help from a few UK club people, quite a shock to the system after the 94 things have really moved on, lots. Feels more refined, gone are the clunky gear changes and harsh
ride, its all round a lot easier to drive except rear vision doesn't seem as good as the RT did. Added vinyl stripes this weekend which to me now makes it feel more Viper'ish and a new exhaust system ballanger/borla/RT cats are winging its way over from Partsrack. Should have smooth tubes and K&N's in by the weekend.

Good job on the upgrade!!!

I have driven a 2000 and myself like my ride better. The 00 feels alot softer and less responsive.

On my car-
Turn the wheel, the car immediately turns.
Hit the gas, the car is b@lls to the wall off the go.

On the 00-
Turn the wheel, car turns but it is a softer feel, not as dramatic.
Hit the gas, the car builds up to b@lls to the wall.

My car is about like owning a sport bike, any little move you make, the car responds.
As to where the 00, it's more like driving mama's cadillac that has 500 H.P.(Not that dramatic but you get the idea).

Note: My car is not stock-Full Borla exhaust, aluminum flywheel, Vec 1, smooth tubes, and filters. The difference is drawn from my 94 and my friends 00 which has smooth tubes and filters. Mine at 404 hp 502 torque and his at 436 hp 464 torque.

Two different feels: One seat of the pants-the other more refined.

Now when the 03 comes out, I'll bet Gen II guys will be saying the same thing once they drive it. Nice but my grandma could drive it!

Eddie N :the personalised plate luckily came with the car, it was Chryslers press plate which was used on the first GTS press car and a couple of others since then, so it appeared in a lot of glossy magazines over the years. It will soon re-appear on Nadine's viper.....

The wart unfortunately has to be added to pass the import test,
all UK cars have a side indicator, it looks a bit of a mess which I'll try to improve

Hope no-one here gets the wrong idea here about blue/white. Black as we all know is faster than steel,

but black v blue/white I'll admit is marginal. Best thing would be to shoot it out at an airfield. Oh thats a good idea, lets try that this Sunday. The gloves are off.

Neil, Where did you or the previous owner get the chrome sneaky Petes for the side and gas cap? Those look great. And are you happy with the vinyl stripes? I'm thinking about putting some black ones on mine.

Well you guys and gals in the UK everyone knows that Red and Silver is the colour that streaks passed all other Vipers.

And gals with wings and things, well needed a special Number Plate for ulitmate speed.

Remember RED/SILVER

BigsViper: cut the logo's and stripes myself as I work in a graphic/sign dept, the stripes take a days graft to fit properly and I'm used to handling the stuff, tried silver (looked classy) at first but plumpted for white to make it look more sporty. I'm really happy with vinyl, if a fancy a change it can come off in under an hour
