Does anybody know the idle speed for a 94RT10 and if it is adjustable?

Mine seems to idle at 3-400RPM at which speed it sounds fine, but the alternator isnt doing much in the way of charging the battery?

Can anybody help, I am in the UK without a manual?

My 1994 Service Manual says 704 rpm, +/-25. I don't believe the idle speed is adjustable (computer controlled).

In dash tach's are difficult read that accurately. If you really want to know your idle speed I'd suggest getting a hand held unit.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that its only just under 500 looking again so I guess that explains it.

Checking the volt metre it looks like the alternator doesnt get much power at 5-700rpm though...it needs 8-1000 to start the gauge moving up above 12?

Is this normal?
