Took the Viper in for the winter oil change today. Kelvin, my Viper Tech, had put dye in the oil last change because it had a slight oil leak, and that is the best way to track it down. We found it leaking oil at the head gaskets on both sides, and possible coolant leaks too. I still have about 1 1/2 years of extended warrantee left on the car, but what comes next? They have ordered the head gaskets, but is this a sign of bad things to come? He mentioned sending in a sample of the coolant to have it checked for oil. If it comes back positive for oil in the coolant, does that mean a cylinder sleeve has slipped inside? Anybody else have this happen to their Gen I engine? What was the result? What do I have checked next? Any help would be appreciated. Do you think that the head gaskets will do the trick?

I don't think that it's that easy to do, yet. It has to run the gamut so to speak, before any rebuild can take place. However, I am trying to gather as much info as I can ahead of time, there have been some other instances of rebuilds, and I want to know ahead of time, how those other repairs/rebuilds took place. I need to follow up as carefully as I can on this.
