Hey Sean. Can we expect the same incredible increase in performance from your twin-screw unit? I hope so. Gotta keep those Corvettes in the rear-view. P.S. --Sorry to be so impatient...

I agree 100%. It was faster than a freak'in HMS 600 to 150MPH. ***!!!! I did not read the article, but will try and pick up a copy tonight. Seems like this kit puts out a lot more that 490 HP. Its probably 490 RWHP (490 / .85 = 577 HP), but even then seems like it should be more - comparing numbers with the HMS 600. Although the Vette is a bit lighter/less wind resistance. Lingenfelter usually does underrate the figures. The twin-screw roots style blower seem to be the way to go. Power thoughout the entire curve. Peak HP/Torque and Peak boost doesn't account for everything......

Kinda makes you say, Hmmmmmm....

Viperholics,

I just read the article, but didn't buy the mag. If memory serves, it did 0-60 in 3.7 and the 1/4 mile in 11.7 at 126MPH!!!! I think they did upgrade the tires, but not slicks or drag radials. I think just a bit wider street radials - can't remember exact size. The car also requires a different hood, so the SC has room (2 inch bubble - looks good). The car also had a better exhaust ($895), but no aftermarket headers. I think a better intake ($395 - K&N or something like that) was also included. All minor/cheap mods in my book, other then SC which is a great deal as well. They were comparing the performance to a Porsche GT2 ($180,000) in the article, indicating the Corvette beat it to 60 MPH by .01 and to 150 MPH (I think) by .08 seconds. I think we have some competition, boys. I know it's modded, but I don't see any down sides to these mods. Very reliable, instant boost (no lag), fairly affordable, and able to outrun a HMS Venom 600. It said in the mag for another $200, LPE offers an 36,000 mile powertrain warantee. I didn't really understand this.... Does this mean you can do this mod without voiding the original warantee on the car? Hopefully, this will wake some of our tuners up!!!!!!!!

I agree with everyone else!! I can't wait to hear the numbers! Sorry Sean, but it is hard to be patient when it come to our Pride and Snakes!!
No way do I ever want to get spanked by a Vette! And I am hoping your S/C kit will make sure it doesn't happen!!
Also, sounds like your new High-Flow Cats will help out too!!
You better get a couple phone lines set up before you announce your final Set-Up!! We are waiting--Patiently of course!!

Let's all wait and compare the Roe-supercharged Viper to the Corvette for an apples-to-apples comparison. Never really was fair to compare modded cars to stock cars. There is always something faster out there in the world of hot rods. Always. pete the ex glass guy.. and hot rodder...Viper owner with two supercharged non-Viper hot rods.....a-hem.....

Hi Guys,

The SC Lingenfelter has is the Magna-Charger that was on display at the SEMA show. I talked with Magna-Charger / Eaton reps at the show last year (Nov 1st)and gathered the literature they had on it. Funny, never heard anything about Lingenfelter being involved. They did tell me that RK Sport was providing the hoods. Sounded more like a package that would be marketed by Magna-Charger. Nice gains for just under 6 psi of boost, eh?

Regarding our kit, some more improvements have recently been made and the new parts are on their way to EFI Systems, where the car is patiently waiting to go back on their dyno for more testing and tuning. Sorry for the delay, but I think many people will be pleasantly surprised with the results.

Is there a generalized price tag for the kit yet?

In three months I will either have an 02 ZO6 or a 98 GTS Venom 500 in the garage. Needless to say, I am already looking ahead and planning mods.

If I go ZO6, then I may go the LPE sc route, but more likely an ATI D-1 on the chance that I can buy two for some sort of discount since I plan to run one on the RS.

If I go GTS.... I don't rightly know yet what I would do since I am still on a learning curve about the aftermarket world for Vipers. So I'll just sit back and see what's out there.

I've seen an RT/10 with a centrifugal blower once. Are there tuners that sell kits for this or was it a custom job? How much $$, HP, and ET would it gain on a stock GTS and/or Venom 500?
