Treesnake - If I'm not mistaken, you have the garage space to add those cars to your collection ..... :rolaugh: :D:lmao:.

If there was a lift included maybe...:rolaugh::rolaugh::rolaugh:

C'mon John, let's split it...

You pick one, then I'll pick one...;)

Seriously, Once I had those cars, I don't know how I could get rid of them.
Not knowing the situation, the bank might be making this decision...:(

I think the seller is like a lot of us...money is not there to borrow (like in the past) so we are forced into liquidating toys to keep our business's open and feed our families. Many business are run leveraged (which is considered normal practice) but with the banks in trouble they have cut off lines of credit. I know the owner and he is a great guy. I sold my original AC Cobra recently for almost this amount...killed me to sell but I made a fortune in 11 years on it and I can always buy another-the needed influx of capital in my business has taken a lot of (mental)pressure off and actually has turned things around in my company.Cars are just stuff-even Cobras and Vipers, and all can be re-bought at a later date. There are some nice cars there so hopefully someone here will buy some of them and take good care of them.

No one else finds it strange that the seller seems to not know the name of his own car? The GT40 has not been built in a long time, that is a GT.

I went to the link. The car is described as a "2005 Ford GT (40)". He called it a Ford GT and he addded the (40) because most everybody, when they see that car, visualize the 1960's era car. It sounds reasonable to me.

Wow... That's a fair price for these cars. Everyone of them besides the nascar would be perfect for my collection. Wish banks would lend that kinda money now for cars. Amazing times when we see that kind of stuff, good luck to the seller, I feel for him.

I spoke to the owner and it isn't a financial issue that prompts the sale but rather a lifestlye change issue. Having a large collection is a job in and of itself and is often another headache.

Some GREAT cars! The ad says the orange ACR is 1 of 2? Is this true? If so, the other one is right here in Fresno!

Is he keeping at least one Viper or is he getting out of the club altogether?

He is a long time VCA member and Viper days guy. I remember him as far back as 1999 at Viper days events so I think he may keep at least one Viper? I would have no reservations about buying one of his cars I am sure he will stand behind all of them he is a stand up guy.

In regard to the GT 40 comment, in 2004 at the SEMA show thats what Ford was calling the concept car in fact I had Parnelli Jones sign some GT 40 stuff for me at the show. Subsequently Ford realized they didn't have the rights to the name GT 40 and the GT 40 was officially called the Ford GT. So while refering to that car as a GT 40 is incorrect a lot of people inadvertently refer to the car as a GT 40? I also still have a yellow Ford GT 40 hat a Ford dealer gave me in 2003 or 2004. There is a really cool first generation GT 40 for sale here colinsclassiccars.com Colin also personally owns a black no stripe 700HP 2006 Ford GT with blacked out wheels which hauls the mail. Check out the photo of Carroll Shelby handing the keys to the first generation GT 40 to the original owner on the site.

It's funny when ever I mention the Ford GT, I back it up with "you know the new GT 40". Lots of non enthusiasts think your talking about the Mustang. Kinda like "Infineon Raceway", sorry it will always be Sears Point in my mind. Anyway it seems cash is the best place to be these days.

That's the Mustang identity problem. Ever notice how Mustang owners never say they own a Mustang? It's always a GT or Cobra or Saleen or Shelby or Fox body, etc. Thing is, I know people that own a GT, Cobra and Saleen and their cars don't look anything like a Mustang. I've even heard Mustang owners say they owned a coupe. Jeeze, how vague is that?

Anyways, I wish I could buy this collection but like B-n-I I'm a few grand short. Maybe the seller will give me a zero interest deferred payment balloon loan on the Comp Coupe.
