Viper Owner
First off, I want to thank slaughtj for putting together a great reference chart for the 98 Viper. I took the liberty of changing this to conform to the 96 GTS specs listed in the 96 GTS Service Manual:
http://www.sleepdental.net/1996gtsfluids.htm
Various notes of interest:
1. I deleted a couple of items that pertained to years other than the 96 GTS to conserve on space and keep this to one page.
2. It appears that there is an error on the original viper fluid chart. It is the amount of differential (rear) axle fluid listed as .8L (45OZ).
45OZ is equal to appx 1.5L so either the .8L or the 45OZ listed is incorrect.
3. The above chart prints on one page if you print it in "landscape"
4. It would be nice if others would do the same for other years and for all this to be assembled together on the net for future reference.
5. Disclaimer: My life has been mistake-prone. Double check the above before using this chart and if you blow up your engine using this info, it is your responsibility, not mine to verify the accuracy of the info above.
6. Let me know of any additions/corrections to the above and I will change it.
7. If someone wants to take it upon himself to make up a chart for the non-fluid maintenance items (spark plugs, pcv value, air & fuel filters, etc), that would also be greatly appreciated.
8. If I've stepped on any toes altering the original chart to conform to the 96 GTS, let me know and I'll crawl back into my little hole where I reside.
Thanks
