I recently replaced the EBC greens all the way around. The pads that arrived this time (with the same PN as the first set) came with a black wire attached which I just snipped - the pads are the right size so I figured it was some kind of sensor for the new ABSs. Other than that no difference between the pads execpt this new set is blackening the rotors twice as fast as the original ?bendix? that came with the car. I am utterly awe-shocked at the amount of dust - 500 miles into the new pads and I could write my name clearly in the soot.

Has anyone else experienced this? Has EBC changed their compound?

As stated above you may have the wrong pads, but I found that if you bed the pads after installation, you get a lot less dust. 6 or 8 60-0 runs at full brake, and park it for the night (no emergency brake!). Worked for me!
