SHIFTING IN THE GTS!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having intermittent problems shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd gear.
Sometimes no problem and then sometimes it feels like the shift knob will not go into 3rd.
Here's the kick..it sometimes happens when the car is newly started and even when warm.
Any technical advice????

Could be linkage? Coming from a C5 background, some folks have had to physically adjust their shifter itself. Or in my case I had to have the reverse gear and synchro gear replaced in the T56 when reverse became unusable.
