Should I sell my removed parts (and how)?

At first I was planning on keeping my removed parts (not-so-smooth tubes, long-throw shifter, clutch pedal un-adjustment, super-drone exhaust, skippy the alpine CD player, etc...) when I swapped mods on, but after turning the odo past 1,500 miles today, I realized that since my car will most likely be high mileage when it's sold (or traded), interested buyers will probably be of a certain mindset, so being able to restore it might be kinda pointless...

So, I figure I might as well sell what I can now.

2 questions:

1. Still on the fence, because there's no going back, to keep or to sell? Your opinions please.

2. How/where do I sell? Obviously you guys wouldn't want 'em and most of the parts won't work on other cars...does JonB buy them, or tuners or anybody? Or am I S.O.L?

Thanks.

I was advise by the dealership that sold me my car. To save the
stock parts! Why? resale.. i guess people really want the stock
parts.
I have my basement slowly but surely filling up with parts.
The only think that I did manage to sell was the stock rear brake pads. (i figure if i sell and they want stock, used pads they are silly) I have everything else.

The market for the items you listed is probably non-existent - with a possible exception of the stereo... There are THOUSANDS of old take off exhuasts laying around - I believe at one time Chuck was offering some for FREE if you paid shipping. No one will want the funky corrugated tubes or the stock clutch linkage, and the shift know is probably not worth much... For what you'd get out of them, its probably cheaper to keep 'em.

We've kept all, and I do mean ALL, of our take off parts - and believe it or not, it has come in handy. Like when we added Sean Roe's front plexiglass thingies (sorry Sean) we needed the stock front fascia screws back instead of the ones with built in snaps that we had installed for the front end cover (read : bra...) Well, we had them. No searching around for the "right" looking screw, etc.

Even though you'll probably never use them, they may come in handy for something.

Sell 'em ..

Everyone has the 1958 Corvette mentality IMO. As a buyer and a seller already, it hasn't effected the sale or resale. But in the end. It's UP to you. hehe

Having been into the muscle car market for a long time, you always get more for a car that is as original as possible. Any changes to stock, and I mean any, resulted in fewer people being interested in the car, and a lower sale price too. And if it is a high mileage car, having all the original stuff to go along with it will usually mean an easier sale later, and at a better price level.
