10:00 AM Track Goes Hot
10-12:00 PM Test N Tune
1:00 PM Qualifying Begins
2:00 PM First Round Of eliminations

I haven't been following the V10 threads that closely lately, but was there a reason things were switched from night racing?


At least I think the last schedule I saw included racing at night and I understand things are subject to change....so no biggie....just curious.

Since we are in SHreveport people wanted time to enjoy the Casino's and Tuesday is just street tire Racing anyway so it was made on that reason.

Wednesday has always been on the day schedule

What was the street class is gone from the schedule and replaced with 11. to 11.99.

these 2 classes never filled up and It is a waste for the awards and money until more people use this class

David ..... a number of people in the Florida camp as well as other camps have asked if there is any way to back up the main event on Wednesday later in the day, maybe late morning(10:00-11:00) open gates, then test and tune. So that way we are running the main events in the evening, thus cooler and we will see lower times. Hopefully this would not be an issue because of the private rental and hopefully the owners of the track would understand and work with us.

The first day running during the the day on Pilots is helpful because we need Heat in the track to help get the VHT to stick to the Pilots.

I know in or camp the reason we are driving and trailering thousands of miles is to drag race. If we can get a few thousands off our times ...it is a very big deal to us. VIO is secondary to the drag racing and Casino's are thirdly to drag racing. Although we would like to do all.

But if it was NOT FOR US COMING TO THE V-10 NATIONALS.... WE WOULD NOT BE COMING AT ALL.

I can not speak for any other of the camps only for the Florida's camp.

I am thinking of coming to Shreveport but I have never drag raced before. After taking wed-fri off I really need to be at work Tuesday & would only be able to go on Wed.?
Anyone here real familar with V10 Nats. that I could call?

Im in agreement with the Florida and Georgia camps. the Ohio camp (ME) is all for the later hours of operation so as to hopefully attain better times. I/We dont mind driving thousands of miles to race (we're not like the ladies out west ) but i/we would like to have the best possible chance to do our best and the weather/time of day is obviously a big factor.

I say Wednesday should be evening elims. Tuesday is good for the day as itll be better for these lousy street-tires and anything we can do to sticky em up (such as daylight and sunshine) is welcome

What about flip flopping the racing, doing the big racing tuesday night and then street tire racing Wednesday day, so that those that are going to VOI can saddle up and leave before dark????
