I've got my eye on two Yellow RT's.. (Both 2001's with the similiar mileage and approx the same Price )
Primary differnce is one has a Corsa Rear Exhaust and the other has a custom side exhaust .

I love the look of the side pipes, but I've heard mixed reviews on the resonance .

I'm really on the fence  , any input from owners of Side Pipe RT's would be greatly appreciated !

Cheers

Jeff

P.S Both of these RT's are over 2000 Miles from me ..So it's not like I can go take them for a test drive.

Side pipes sound terrible.1/2 of an odd firing V-10.Rear exhaust has better sound and HP.You can run pretty much open pipes out the back but open side pipes would make you deaf.Mines loud. Can be heard for miles when on song.No problems because the sound exits behind you not under your ear.Side pipe cars that you can live with are way too quiet for me. What Bruce said. All the modded side exhaust cars I've driven in are very brain rattling. The difference with the new SRT is the right exits left and visa versa. They also have a good size crossover.

Chuck you were kind enough to drive the one I am looking at with the Side pipes..Antonio said that he liked it.

Did you think it was to loud ?? The owner is really willing to deal with me .

I have a GTS and converted to side exhaust. Too loud. I love a nice sounding car, but EVERY minute of every second in that car it was LOUD. It got old, real fast. I have now rear exit exhaust..

I have no cats with Corsa and I'm going deaf. I could not imagine to have side pipes with that setup. But I love the sound!

If you go on a long trip, I would use ear plugs. I wore ear plugs as well when I drove the X's Ferrari F50....there is no substitute for saving your hearing. Side is awesome for short trips, but does get annoying on long trips, especially with h-top and windows in. Don't get me wrong, they are nice and do run cooler with the Roe high flow cats.

Sidepipes!! But I'm biased. Mine are loud (Borla headers, high flow cats, and Borla XR1 mufflers w/3" turnouts), but I prefer the sound much better than the rear exhaust. And I don't use the hardtop or windows - it's a roadster.....My suggestion is to get a ride in both and then decide.

If you are refering to the side pipe 01 here in FL rumor has it that the car has had several mods including larger injectors, throttle bodies, and the side pipes. Original owner was a millionaire that got upset when the car did not run right again after the mods and sold it. He has to have 50k for the car and the guy brokering it wants 2k for selling it. Total 52k and would not come down any lower. It recently did $49500.00 on ebay and did not sell. If you are interested in this car set aside enough money for new side sills and rear exhaust to put it back to the way it was meant to be. I have had rear exhaust and side pipes and you could not give me side pipes again. Rears have the better sound.
