Side Sill Removal Question

How do you get to and remove the forward fastener between the sill and the fender? I can barely touch the nut and no way can I get a wrench or socket on it. There must be a better way. I cannot see how this could be done at car assembly.

God Gen /II sills are EASY!

I was told to remove the wheel well cover. A LOT of work for that fastener.

Finally got the nut loosened late last night. That is one tough location. I don't know if this was the correct way to do it but I loosened the rear nut and then rotated the whole sill to allow the removal of the plastic "gill." Then I could barely get in and loosen the front nut. I have no idea how to get this back together. I had no idea that sill removal ranked as a winter project!
