I take it you are referring to the actual sill cover and not the door sill.

I would stay away from the fibre glass ones. This is based only on heresay but I have heard of them catching on fire.

There are different vendors on here that will sell you new/used sills.

I have a set of 96+ side sills, new/never installed. If you want a clean look the newer ones are the best to mod,(sorry about the ad Vipermad). Just thought I would give an option over buying new from DC.

Frank,

About a year ago, I boogered up my passanger side sill on a brick wall and contemplated buying a new one too. After pricing new ones, however, I decided to give my local body shop a shot at it. The sheet metal repair, painting, and appliques totaled $400 and it's as good as new.

The funny part is that the appliques (3) totaled about $100. I think they must be made of some sort of translucent precious metal to cost that much.

Anyway, unless the damage is terminal, I'd suggest getting it repaired.

It worked for me.....

Mike,
I might be interested in those side sills of yours. Mine have the rivet corrosion and I doubt DC will replace even though I do have the extended warranty.
I can't get the PM to work..... maybe you can drop me an e-mail at [email protected]
