ANY SUGGESTIONS ON REFINISHING THE BLACK PORTION OF THE SIDEPIPES?

THE BLACK PART IS THE ONLY PART THT NEEDS PAINT, THE RED LOOKS AS GOOD AS NEW. IS THERE SOMETHING IN A SPRAY CAN THAT WILL MATCH THE FACTORY FINISH AND HANDLE THE HEAT?

FYI, you're most likely to get teased for typing in CAPS all the time. Alot of people are a the Viper Owners Invitational right now, which is why the board is dead and why your question has not been answered.

Just be patient.

Do you want to convert them into a solid color, or keep them black?

Have you thought about autoform covers? Makes it look like the Gen2 cars, but still has side exits (looks good). A lot of guys are still at VOI, so it may be a while before you get some ******** tech answeres from JonB or others.

I heard of someone using a BBQ grill paint. Flat black... stands up to heat very well.

Just mask off the rest of the sill real well

Clear coat> Don't think so. Only on the color keyed section if any. The bare metal is starting to show through on the top ridge hardly noticable but it bugs me. The BBQ grill paint sounds like a perfect solution. I will try to find some flat black.

The clear coat is the key. Use a flat/matte/semi/gloss clear coat according to your taste. Any high temp spray will stick but it's hard to get an even finish from a can. I would at least shoot the clear in a booth after the final color sand.
