Well I ran it up to 150 today but I smelled a slight oil smell, where do I start looking?

Concerns?

BTW, was surprised how smooth the car was, runs hard, still havent taken it over 5 grand yet.

1575 miles

thanks

Check the air intake shroud and see if there is any oil collecting on the bottom of the filter side. Happy Turkey Day.

The air intake shroud is the air box, correct?

If there is oil there what does that mean?

Sorry, Gary, yes the air box. You can puke oil in there if you try to stop on a dime or turn hard. But, stopping real hard is what I did once on the road and caused some oil to puke up and get sucked into the intakes.

Just for reference, I did not burn enough oil during breakin to even make it detectable.

Talked to Mike(Viper tech dude) at Jack Powell today and he said not to worry, checked oil and after 1200 miles there is only a half a quart lost.

Is that above or below average for oil consumption?

thanks again guys.
