Smooth tubes?? Silicon or chrome??

Someone said to me that under WOT silicon may **** too much air and start to compress restricting air flow, is this true?

I think that both are OK...BE CAREFUL to check fit if you go with chrome...saw one set manufactured TOO LONG, pressed into throttle bodies.

Got my tubes from TNT and they have aluminum sleeves inside the tubing to stop any problems with air flow!

Just keep in mind that any metal will transfer heat from the engine compartment to the incoming air.

You can buy lengths of Turbo Silicon. Dont buy just rubber or anything of that nature. Turbo couplings are stitches and are much thicker and designed not to compress. They use these on systems running major boost.

I bought the chrome, then had them duplicated out of polished aluminum. It goes better with the aluminum brace in the engine compartment.

That makes sense. So the chrome tubes would actually force warm air into the block? Not good.

I don't know of a bulk supplier (there has to be one around the Detroit region), but you can buy pre-cut lengths from Snake Oyl and other Viper vendors.
