Soft Top Cover...optional?

Hi all..still looking for a Viper. Hopefully there will be some good deals here in Canada starting September, when the roadster season is ending. Anyways, I have a questions for you experts I have seen a few SRTs without the Softtop cover which hides the gaps on the sides when the top is down. Was that an option from the factory? I always thought they covered the top automatically when you lowered it, but now that I have seen a few without it, I wonder if they came with all Vipers. Thanks....

PS: If anyone knows of a good deal on an early SRT10 here in Vancouver, please pm me....

It did not come with our early build 2003 SRT-10(delivered 12/30/02).

The only "extra" that we got was the trunk liner...ordered thru dealer for extra $$$.

I don't believe the boot was ever an extra cost "option". The boot was not on any of the 03 cars, to the best of my knowledge. I think it may have surfaced on the 04 models. Some cars were shipped without it, and the dealers forwarded them to the car owners as supplies became available.
