I am trying to sell my car. It is a 1998 Red GTS with 4280 miles for $58,500. Got about 6 calls so far but no one has came through. Got a call yesterday from a guy that wanted to know how much it would cost for him to buy my car then take it to a custom shop and make it into a roadster. I told him it would be cheaper to just buy the rt/10 but he acted like he wanted to buy mine. I told him it was no longer for sale. My car is paid for so I dont have to sell it to some schmuck that is just going to tear it up. I want to sell it to someone that loves the GTS's the way they are as much as I do. The sale is not that important because spring is coming soon and if not sold I will be driving in style on the weekends again this year.

The idea of making sure your car goes to a good home is almost as odd to me as the idea of garage queens.

I have thought about making a GTS convertible myself. Relax.. the guy obviously wants to spend the $ to make your car into a unique more beautiful car. Think about it.. the hatch of the GTS, with a convertible roof.

I can't believe you would sacrifice a sale that you obviously want, to protect the feelings of a car. Gees. Yeah I agree, some people do have more dollars than sense.

GTSREDDOG loves the car and wants to find a good home for it. Sounds great to me. Probably a perfect twin to my 98 RT/10, 'cept I don't have the cash.

Cutting off the roof to make it a convertible??? I cannot find the words to describe how moronic that sounds to me. Maybe do it to a rag, not something that's rare and in great condition. Oh well, to each his own, makes for fun conversation.

Thanks for your post Chuck at least more people other then me have a great appreciation for these cars. Im only selling to get an 02 yellow and the car isnt eating anything sitting in the garage so I wont sell it to a schmuck that will just "chop" it up!!!! I dont really need the sale I can live with a RED 98 but would like an 02 yellow but not that bad.
