Does anyone know a good place to bring my whistler remote mount detector and viper to get the detector mounted in the dash?? I have a few nicks on part of the dash where the previous owner had mounted a cd changer control and i wanted to get the detector mounted there, any suggestions of a good place to bring it would be appreciated

My Bel remote display is mounted in the ash tray of my 2001 GTS. We mounted the receiver up in the nose, on the underside of the slanting horizontal plastic plate on the top front of the radiator. You cannot see the detector receiver with the hood up, and to hide the display I just close the ashtray lid. Since detectors are illegal in Virginia, invisibility is a real plus.

My roommate did the installation, and I'm sure he'd be glad to install yours. Contact me for more details.

I have tried many detectors, living out here in the desert states and I would suggest that you save the money for the install and buy a Valentine1. Last week I did a test with my old detector ( Passport) and the Valentine consistantly went off a full 4 to 10 seconds before and it tells what direction the radar is comming from. They have a remote display unti that I have mounted right between the speedo and tach ( on the steering colum)it is about 1"x1.5"...Just my .02 worth???
